INTRODUCTION
Over the past century, movies have depicted the ups and downs of American life. Different genres of movies have been used to reflect the thoughts of the American people. Comedies intend to make us laugh, dramas make us cry, and horror films parallel the fears that we encounter. Horror films especially tend to have a correlation to the time period and have been used to depict the fears of the American people in their everyday lives. American’s have endured war, scandal and revolutions in the past century and have been able to document those feelings about the horrors of American society through the use of films. This site analyzes horror movies of previous and current generations and how they have reflected the realities that Americans face every day.
